37 Where Next Wednesday: Week One

Yep, that's right....after being stateside for only two months we have the travel itch again. It's much akin to Dexter's dark passenger, but obviously much less violent. We recently had begun thinking about where we want to travel next when we got a crazy idea...why don't we let our blog readers decide? They love to travel too, they're from all over the world....who better to make the decision than them?

So here is how this is going to work. We are going to open the floor to suggestions for four weeks with a post every Wednesday. Just post your suggestion(s) in the comments...all we are looking for is a basic description like Beijing, Machu Picchu, Athens, etc. Feel free to second or third someone else's suggestion and make as many suggestions as you like. We will keep a running tally in the posts and after four weeks, the five places with the most suggestions will move on to the next stage.

At that point each Wednesday we will do a feature on one of the top five places. This is where you can make your case for or against each place and offer suggestions for what to do while we are there.

After the fifth feature we will open up a poll and let you, our readers, decide where we are traveling to next!! It's that simple. Once the destination is selected we will keep you updated on our trip planning and offer up some more polls to help us decide what to do while we are there.

So start the suggestions flowing....we are excited to throw caution into the wind with no idea where we will end up next!

  21. So Aron and I discussed this over lunch yesterday and came up with China. The visa process was too much to handle during the round-the-world trip... maybe better done on its own? I also noticed that you have a few more places in Italy to see--Rome and Venice, notably. But my vote is China!

  22. Peru: Lima, Lake Titicaca-Puno.

  23. My personal goal is to see all 7 continents, see all 4 oceans before I die... In that vein- I vote for Antarctica -take a cruise there from S America.
Otherwise, I'd vote Croatia. It's one of the most beautiful if not THE most beautiful place I've been.

  24. Antarctica - fabulous; add the Falklands and S Georgia and you'll have a one of a kind voyage, but you need to go on a ship that offers landings ... could be a budget buster, but oh so worth it :-)
