We love answering questions and doling out advice, but we are no experts. Six months of travel gave us lots of great experiences, but there are still so so many places we've never been! Lots of people email us questions that we have no idea how to answer. So we thought we'd turn a few of these over to our travel-savvy readers for advice...feel free to provide answers in the comments section!

My husband and I are planning a trip to France and found your posts on Paris helpful in our planning. Do you have any suggestions for the Bordeaux region? Particularly can you recommend any wine estates to spend a few nights? -Christine, Ardmore PA USA

Christine, I would def. recommend the Chateau Franc Mayne. Everything about this estate is awesome--the rooms, the grounds, and most importantly the wine! It's a working vineyard. It was my and my girlfriend's favorite place to stay in all of France.
ReplyDeleteanyone would be a fool to try to fit luxor into two days
ReplyDeleteI disagree. There is much to see in Luxor but two days planned correctly could be very satisfying. On the first day visit the Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple and perhaps the Luxor Museum. On the second day visit the Colossi, Ramses Temple and the Valley of the Dead. The sights are spread out so plan accordingly with taxi or bicycle.
ReplyDeleteA hot-air balloon ride in Luxor is a must
ReplyDeleteThanks for the input on Luxor folks...can't wait!
